It's Time to Help

Every disaster comes to a single horrible moment for each person that is affected.

Whether it is the devastating aftermath of a hurricane, tornado or flood, or the loss of a home due to a house fire, the Red Cross is there to help. Everyday right here in the Greater Chattanooga Area dedicated volunteers are on call 24/7, 365 to help those suffering from loss.  Whether it is food, shelter, clothing or the emotional support of a hug the Red Cross is there making a difference.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!  As the recent shelter operation for Hurricane Gustav evacuees here in Chattanooga so clearly illustrated, the Red Cross is always there ready to help those in need.   Now we need your help

Our budget has been running at a deficit due in part to a record number of home fire clients, an expansion of our service area and cuts in important programs previously funded by the United Way.   The need is clear – your local Red Cross Chapter is experiencing an emergency of its own.

During our 91 year legacy of caring the Chattanooga Area Chapter has touched tens of thousands of lives.  More than likely you, a family member, friend or coworker has been touched by the Red Cross. They know what it’s like to have a Red Cross volunteer there at 2 AM helping them with lodging, food and clothing after being burned out of their home.  They know how comforting it is to have someone help them get a service member home from Iraq to attend a family funeral. They know how good it feels to have lifesaving skills like CPR –and to use it to save a life. They know how much it means to have someone that cares.

If you don’t help, who will be there in the middle of the night helping a family displaced by a house fire?

If you don’t help, who will be there to teach lifesaving skills like CPR?

If you don’t help, who will be there to assist military families during times of crisis?

If YOU don’t help …. who will?

Please click here to donate using our secure site or send your check to 801 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37403; make sure you make the check payable to Chattanooga Red Cross so that the funds are directed towards helping support YOUR local Chapter.   Thank you!
