As a volunteer-driven organization the Red Cross is only as strong as the people who contribute their time and talents. Did you know that your Greater Chattanooga Area Chapter has a paid staff of only 13 but does its work with the help of 500+ registered volunteers?

As a member of our “Team of 500” you will have a wide range of volunteer opportunities to consider, from working as part of a Disaster Action Team, helping patients at local hospitals, teaching community education programs to working at special events.

Our mission is not government funded and local disaster assistance is funded solely through donations of time and treasure from the Greater Chattanooga Area communities.
