Chattanooga Area/Hiwassee Disaster Volunteer Recruitment Fair
Who: NEW volunteers as well as current Disaster volunteers. We are targeting to recruit and train at least 20 NEW Red Cross volunteers. Current volunteers will have an opportunity to hear an exciting speaker teaching a course on “Collaboration to Ensure Effective Service Delivery”.
There will be a welcome/Information booth and snacks for those in attendance.
When: Tuesda,y January 26th and Wednesday January 27th, 9:00am-5:00p
Where: Brainerd Crossroads (Brainerd BX), 4011 Austin Street, Chattanooga, TN 37414
Every new volunteer who completes the class “Fulfilling our Mission” and either “DAT 101” or “Client Casework,” will be awarded a Red Cross Disaster vest. In addition, current Red Cross volunteers who sponsor a new recruit that attends and completes the course work will receive a Red Cross weather radio!
COURSE SCHEDULE
Tuesday January 26th
9:00 AM - Noon: Fulfilling Our Mission
An introduction to the American Red Cross and the disaster mission of both the Greater Chattanooga Area and Hiwassee Chapter missions.
INSTRUCTOR: Clara Edwards
1:00 PM - 4:30PM: DAT 101
How to respond to a local area fire and provide Red Cross assistance. (Frank Stobbe, Instructor.)

Wednesday, January 27th
9:00 AM - Noon: Fulfilling Our Mission
(Note: this is repeat the same class as day one and new volunteers only need to attend one of the two days)
INSTRUCTOR: Clara Edwards
1:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Client Casework
Training required if you wish to be deployed on a national disaster or in the event of a larger scale local response.

Collaboration to Ensure Effective Sight Delivery (CEESD)
Training to provide Red Cross Volunteers who are working with multiple other Relief agencies, volunteer organizations and Public Safety/EMA on an event

From I-75
Take I-24 E to exit 183 (Belvoir-Germantown Exit.) Immediately move to the far right hand lane. Turn right on Belvoir. Turn right on Austin, which is the first street.
From I-24 or 27
Take exit 183. Go thru first intersection. Turn left at second red light onto Belvoir. Cross overpass thru N. Terrace intersection. Turn right on Austin St.
